Red Clover Yield Trials
A Red Clover yield trial was established in Chazy, NY in 1997 by the Forage Breeding Project at Cornell University. Principal funding for these trials is provided by the companies that submit varieties in the trials and by the NNY Agricultural Development Program.
Yields are presented in tons per acre and as a percentage of the check variety (Marathon). Below the trial mean yield is the least significant difference (LSD). The value for LSD is an indication of how many percentage units two varieties have to differ to have a 95% probability that the yield difference is real and repeatable.
