More than half – 54.9% – of the farm acreage in Northern New York is in cropland.
Small grants from the farmer-driven Northern New York Agricultural Development Program support research to enhance the production, quality, and profitability of field crops, including forages, corn, soybeans, dry beans, flax, small grains, legumes, and wheat. Project results also add to science-based environmental stewardship across the region.
