The Northern New York Agricultural Development Program (NNYADP) has announced 23 on-farm research, outreach, and technical assistance projects that are currently underway in Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties.
The NNYADP recently received $500,000 in the New York State budget to help fund additional projects.

The Recycling Agricultural Plastics Project (RAPP) at Cornell is now working with NBF Plastics of Auburn, NY, to process deliveries of used maple tubing. Learn how to prepare your materials to participate in recycling your maple plastics into a plastic plywood substitute.
Pool your plastics with other producers to amass at least 8,000 lbs. of recyclable tubing at one site to request pickup.

Funding from the farmer-driven Northern New York Agricultural Development Program is enabling Cornell University researchers to evaluate two methods for enhancing fresh market vegetable production in Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties.
One method involves testing for nutrient levels throughout the growing season; the other is fertigation – the delivery of vital nutrients to crops through drip irrigation systems.
