Lake Placid, NY – The Northern New York Agricultural Development Program (NNYADP) 2013 Maple Research Project is in search of maple producers for research on improving sap yields and maple business profitability.
Feb. 2 Maple Auction & Crafts Show
After a full day of workshops for maple producers on Saturday, February 2 at the first-ever Franklin County Maple Producers School and Trade Show at Brushton-Moira Central School in Brushton, NY, the FFA will open the doors at 3:30pm for general public admission to the maple craft show and maple equipment auction.

Northern New York Maple Specialist Michael Farrell is excited about the 2013 maple season. As part of a Northern New York Agricultural Development Program-funded outreach program, Farrell has developed tools to encourage producers and landowners to help Northern New York realize its true maple industry potential.

Farm Disaster Preparation Certification Training
The Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) associations of Northern New York are offering Extension’s Farm Disaster Preparation Certificate workshops to help farmers prevent and prepare for accidents involving farm equipment on the road, on-farm fires or structure collapse, biosecurity, agricultural products storage, and wind or storm damage.
