Oct 30: Winter Feed Management for Beef

Tuesday, October 30: discuss how weather-related impacts on feed crops impact livestock management decisions with Cornell University Beef Extension Specialist Dr. Michael J. Baker – Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) associations of Northern New York 6:30pm program with Dr. Baker at CCE Jefferson County in Watertown with telecasts to the CCE St. Lawrence County Extension Learning Farm classroom, Canton, and CCE offices in Malone, Plattsburgh, and Westport. NNY Dairy Farms to Host Hoof Health Workshops

A diverse mix of Northern New York dairy operations will be hosting the on-farm learning sessions of the 10:30am to 3pm Northern New York Dairy Institute Hoof Health Workshops that combine classroom and on-farm training organized by Cornell Cooperative Extension. The workshops will be offered:

  • Tuesdays: October 16, 23, 30 and November 6 at Jefferson and Lewis County locations
  • Wednesdays: October 17, 24, 31 and November 7 in St. Lawrence County
  • Thursdays: October 18, 25, and November 1 and 8, at Franklin/Clinton/Essex County locations.
